Preston Graves grew up in Tempe, Arizona. He received his BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and his MFA from the University of Oregon.
His studio practice is largely informed by the marine ecosystems and creatures he encounters while diving in the cold waters of the Puget Sound.
